MiB1 Bolero to MiB2 Columbus upgrade Octavia MK3 Vrs

Featured Replies

A big shout out to @pab567, after many months of researching numerous threads on this forum, with thanks to pab567’s help I replaced the standard Bolero MiB1 unit on my Octavia VRs 2014, to a Columbus MiB2 with the 8 inch glass screen 5E0919605M, with GPS satnav, Apple Car Play and Android Auto.  It only took about one hour to install as the unit was Plug and Play.

It makes a huge difference to the way the dash looks - ‘more modern’, and also the stereo sounds louder than the original Bolero.

Very happy with it, thanks @pabs567.

You are welcome :)

Nice one mate, to confirm, I’m very impressed with the system, I can use the Navigation that’s built in to the stereo system and also Google maps via Apple Car Play and also Android auto.

Good luck 🤜🏽
