Wheels toed in too much after replacing front suspension

Featured Replies

Having my Sportline 280 in garage for lot of suspension work, fitted H&R sway bar kit (front and rear) Bilstein B6 shocks, strut mounts and bearings , heavy duty adjustable droplinks front and rear and Superpro lower arms TRC1070.

Everything has fitted fine but mechanic just called me to say front wheels are toed in quite a lot!!! Wheel alignment has not been done yet but it shouldn't be out this much or am i wrong? Is alignment likely to solve this or the arms are shorter? I know few people fitted them on superbs without issues

Likely because the SuperPro Lower arms are not correct length for the Superb.

I believe the TRC1070 (used for the mk7 Golf) is too short for the Superb, i.e. 313mm.

The Superb needs a length of 327mm.

See L2 in the pics below.

Yeah so it seems 🤔 i know there is a member here who got it aligned and it's working fine but few had issues with them... it's going for alignment tomorrow. Worse case scenario I'll just use the oem ones

Yep 100% super pro arms are shorter for the golf so you’ll lose a load of track width which in turn will pull the toe in until it’s aligned. Then it’ll look silly because it’s 12mm narrower on each corner.
Ive taken mine off and brought new superb ones and pressed super pro bushes into those.
sorted

Do not try to adjust the tracking, the geometry is way out of kilter specifically the camber and kingpin inclination, correcting the toe in will not change that.

Editted, I see you will be wasting your money for alignment, will you too be saying that its working fine when you are driving with white knuckles?
