Hi All

I have recently changed my 2016 SEL Exec 190 Estate for a nearly new 2023 L&K CR200 Estate. Being the L&K it has most of the bells and whistles that you could possibly want, except for one.

My SEL Exec had the ‘Traffic Sign Recognition’ as an optional extra, which I found extremely useful, particularly touring in France where speed limits frequently change randomly between 90, 80 and 70km/hr on open roads.

I have been disappointed to find that this function is also an optional extra on the L&K and is not fitted to this car.

Does anyone know if it is possible to activate or retrofit this function?

Hi,

If you have A5 camera on the windscreen, it may be possible to retrofit this function.

Nevertheless, I´ll let @ApertureS confirm, since he has a Master PhD in Skoda retrofitting. 😁

Sadly the newer cars use a 2Q0 MK4 camera which locks traffic sign recognition behind a ‘swap’ code which can’t be hacked to my knowledge, sorry!

Hi sorry to gatecrash this post, I’m getting a 2019 (pre facelift) Sportline Plus 272 next week and have been hopeful that the Traffic Sign Recognition could be activated. Would this be possible on this car? And if so, is there anyone in the Manchester area who could help “unlock” it? Cheers.

Should be standard on the L&K surley? My 2017 had it but I'm looking at last of the old shapes later this year 23/24 plate and I'd be disappointed if its not on.

Assuming u have the A5 camera, this is the coding for activating on pre-facelift Superb.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated. Unfortunately having picked up the car today I’ve seen that it doesn’t actually have a camera at the top of the windshield. So it’s a non starter. 🤦🏻‍♂️ 

But that’s fine as the maps display the speed limit anyway.
