Sat Nav destination loss

Featured Replies

I have a 22 SEL Exec and am having a strange problem with destination loss.

Last year we went to France and I added circa 20 locations which were sent by the Connect App and received by the car. These were saved and stored. Not all locations were used but I noticed a couple of months after I returned that all the French locations had disappeared.

We are going to France again in a couple of months and I have loaded circa 12 locations to date and saved them. When I checked last week they were still all there, but when I checked today 6 have already gone.

It is only French locations that disappear and all my UK ones remain.

Am scratching my head, any ideas?

Thanks

I think your penultimate sentence is the clue.  Check to see if you need to accept/allow foriegn destinations when in the UK.

Where they saved to Last destinations or Favourites?

I am thinking from the way i read the instruction book that "last destinations" automatically keeps all last destinations entered up to a max 50, these i imagine would be overwritten once the capacity reached.

Destinations can also be stored in "Destination memory"  and  "favourites" max 50 which i expect it would tell you when full

If you stored them from a vcard they should be in "destination memory" or  "Favourites", but is that where you are looking for them?

Apologies if you have tried all this but your post just mentions "stored" but not in which list.

You have not stated checking the "favourites" list

That sounds very logical but the option doesnt exist! Thanks for the suggestion.

Okay, so the destinations are created on the Connect App and downloaded into the car and saved in Favourites.

I only have 40 favourites so have not reached any limit. Your screenshot pf the manual page is not the same as mine which is Amundsen.

The destinations from last year are not held within the memory as they have probably been overwritten by fresher ones.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Different versions of the Sat Nav? I am looking at the manual that came with the car.

Your second link was password protected!

But I guess the question from my original post will just have to remain a mystery.

Strange.

the second link was from Skoda website

https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/welcome

Can you use the map on the system to search? by pinching and scrolling the screen.

If you move it about to the area where you know you previously saved a destination there should be a Flag on it?

Okay, I will try that next time I am in the car.

The answer appears to be no. But I do believe, when on a journey, any favs appear on the map with a red heart. But not much use speculating whether "old" favs will reappear when travelling abroad.

If it's a red heart and they are not there when you scroll, i think you are right, they will not appear later.

But what you may be able to do is looking at the area on the map , zoom in and touch the destination and add it to favourites now.
