Hi, new to this, I recently purchased a mk 2 Octavia 2.0 TDI cr SE, it has got 18 inch wheels on it with 225/40/18 tyres, is this ok as I thought it was 15 inch wheels as standard on this model? Thanks

There's a seller on ebay who can supply all the car's build codes and factory options for about 3 Euros (about £2.50). This will tell you what wheels the car came out of the factory with.

According to Jurid on autodoc, the Octavia MK2 2.0TDI 140HP has 288x25mm front brakes discs, so 15" wheels would clear the front brake calipers.

Search "skoda vin decoder" on ebay to find this listing

No need to pay if you have the option codes on the handbook sticker or sticker in boot, just bung those codes into this https://igorweb.org/equidec.aspx and it will tell you what they are, also if you need to find a VIN number from a reg plate there us still a way with https://chipex.co.uk/ put the car reg in and enter and the vin will be shown in the url at the top.

The sticker in the boot only has a small selection of the car's build codes...perhaps around 40 of them. The car might actually have around 180 build codes, so a lot more than what is shown on the sticker in the boot.

Ok will have a look, when I get it back from the garage, waiting for a new dpf from Germany, hopefully get it back this week, it's only been 4 weeks..... 👍

They might be L&K wheels or sport wheels as opposed to SE. 16” the best compromise for comfort and cost. I have a set of pre-FL vega wheels on the forum classifieds if interested

They are called Luna alloy rims from the Superb MK2 with OEM part number 3T0601025K as shown below.

The standard offset for the 18" Octavia MK2 rims is ET51, whereas the 18" Superb MK2 rims use 5mm less offset, ie. ET46...so the centre of each wheel moves out by 5mm each side in the wheelarches.

3T0601025K 7ZS (chrome coloured metallic)

7.5Jx18 ET46 5/112 57.1
