Hello fellow MK2 owners,

 

Today I swapped a DRL and noticed some rust on a metal strut behind the unit. 
 

I honestly know nothing about what this component is. I would like to refer to some schematics or diagrams but unsure where to start. Are Haynes manuals worth it?

 

Should I be concerned about this?

 

This is a 2013 post-facelift elegance.
