Update maps

Featured Replies

I have a 65 plate octavia, I am trying to update my maps, version info on the car screen says , 5L0051236L , 0635, ECE1 2016/17, THW ORGINAL SKODA SD CARD SAYS 239754 , 5LO O51 236C, navigation sd card without navigation app, I have gone to skoda portal , entered my vin number and downloaded the ECE 1 2024 ,valid since CW 2023.

I have downloded to my pc unzipped the file , the copied files to a formatded 32gb sd card, i go into NAV setup , update it starts to search the card I get an error saying no files can be found. When i looked on the sd card there was a maps folder and 1 other file, I deleterd the other file just leaving the map folder, attempted the update , all I get with tghis is a spining icon saying searching for update files, I left this going for 30 + minutes but no change .

can anyone help ?

You have to use a Skoda SD card as it has a security section.

the original one I have as stated above , do i need to format that then copy extracted zipped file onto that, or do i need to get an official updated sdcard from skoda and theupdate via the portal is not available gor my model ?

Yeah, format the original card and copy the extracted files to it.

May be worthwhile to copy the existing files to a backup device.

Good luck. 👍👍

I just back up the old files, delete the old ones and copy the new ones on to it. I don't format.

I copy the old files onto a NAS drive, then quick format as it's quicker than deleting the old files.
