Changing fuel filter

Featured Replies

Good evening.

My 2.0 Tsi fuel filter is due to be changed and looks pretty straight forward, tucked neatly under the chassis, three clipped hoses to disconnect.

My question is, do I need to remove the fuel pump relay prior to changing it? Or just not open the drivers door?

Online has mixed messages.

My local indy has done it previously during a service.

Just to add a little note to my post, the jack point for the rear, is directly next to the axle stand point, which with my trolley jack is never going to happen.

And guess what, the filter is inches from both points.

Looks like a ramp job only sadly.

Could have saved the labour costs, oh well.
