Does anyone have instructions, preferably with images from the manufacturer, on how to remove the front left door and disconnect the wire harness that goes into the A-pillar?

 

My car is left-hand drive.

 

Open the window, release the door stay and the rubber boot from the A pillar, you can then unplug the wiring loom, there are a few colour coded plugs so you can't go wrong, after that get someone to support the weight of the door while you undo the hinges and remove it.

No, can't help more than that, except to say look at the rubber boot over the connector and see that there is a tab on the top surface that I believe should be pushed downwards while pulling the top of the boot away.

The connector then has an orange latch that must be rotated a full 90 degrees to release the connector. Wires will need yo be carefully moved out of the way.

 

Hinge screws are a 13mm male hex needing a normal socket to undo.

 

Check strap has a single M8 XZN fastener at one end, to release it.

 

Others will have to guide you on loom extraction.

I guess you have to. 

I have just purchased an other door and i need to remove the whole cable harness in order to switch it over to my door. 

My door is red and the one I bought is blue. 

Just go slowly, I've done it because of unfixable damage to the outer skin, so I swapped the door. If I remember correctly once you have unplugged everything you have to carefully take it out of the hole where the bellow (concertina) outer cover between door and body is. Take it slow as you can easily get snagged trying to get the plugs around the rigid parts inside the door.

It seemed a lot easier getting the loom into the new door to be honest.
