Octavia vRS Intake manifold flap sticking

Featured Replies

Hi all 👋

New here, picked up my 2023 Octavia vRS TSI yesterday (it's Hyper Green, please feel free to judge me!). Less than 2 miles from the dealership and noticed the engine light on.

Diagnostics this morning shows it's an intermittently sticking intake manifold flap. Just curious if this is a "common/known" fault for these cars? Searching the forum I've seen it a few times for the Mk2 cars but not the Mk4.

Part is on order and being fitted asap, as it was their demo I'm assuming 6 months of infrequent, aggressive test drives (including myself...) have taken their toll!

15000 km-s and have seen it twice, both times dealership made some testing with their computer and said everything works well for them and that its temporary fault and not been replaced so far. Doesent seem to be having effect on driveability when that fault has been appearing.
