2010 scout vibration at ~2200 rpm in 6th gear

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I recently bought a 2010 octavia scout (2.0 cr tdi, 6 speed manual). I love it so far, but there is a very noticable and strong vibration at around 2200 rpm in 5th ang 6th gear, when I press the gas pedal and only then. It goes away after about 2500 rpm. It’s pretty strong, the whole car is vibrating strongly accompanied by some noise. Did any of you have an experience like this?

thanks

Check prop shaft coupe to rear wheels this assumes your wheels are in balance and tyres are good

It'll be the rear propshaft doughnut coupling - we had exactly the same on our MkII 4x4.
