LED number plate lights not working

Featured Replies

Hi, 2018 Octavia estate.
both LED number plate lights failed at the same time. Replaced with VW group replacements. The lights are still not coming on and the dash error still remains.

As both failed at the same time I’m now suspecting a wiring issue at the rear. Is this a common theme? Thanks

Possibly Tailgate Wiring! it can sometimes break in the Rubber grommet/tube thing.

Wife had it on her 19 plate Fabby, the Rear Wash-Wipe stopped, then a Lighting error popped up!

Did you find a solution to this? I’ve got the same problem. Both number plate lights failed at the same time. Am I right in thinking they are LED on a mk3? They look like it

The factory fit normal, non LED, bulbs on a Mk3

My MK3 has led from factory

Thanks. That’s confusing. I’ve just given my VRN to Skoda parts and they list LED lights! Mines a 2020 if that makes a difference

My 2016 has halogen number plate lamps from the factory, even though it has the highline LED rear light clusters.
