Hi, has anyone experienced the round audio knobs on the media/radio falling apart. 

The fronts seem ok but the sides you touch to adjust volume etc are falling off. 

I'm very surprised by this as expected better quality from Skoda. 

Oh btw, no I haven't got hammers for fingers lol.

What media unit are you describing? 

Superb V3 standard unit no nav.

Hmmm. Well, I’ve not seen any posts re self destruction of radio controls and the ones on our Columbus are fine. Do you have pics?

Hi, you can see the turning grip has broken, it is the same for both knobs. I found out Skoda sell replacements but they are €30 each ! Some Chinese copies are available for 6 or 7 euros each. At the moment the knobs still work ok.

That’s bizarre. I’d go for the Chinese copies; can’t be worse than the failed OE originals. 

Yes I think that's the plan, apparently the knobs just pull off so should be an easy fix. It's interesting that this hasn't happened to anyone else as far as we know.

Must admit I’ve got ocd when it comes to the power logo being the correct way up so mines pointing the correct way up and I only use steering wheel controls for volume
