Hello everyone,

wanted to ask, currently my Mk3 has the basic Swing unit and I would like one with a bigger screen (Apple Carplay not a necessity), would the Swing+ be a good choice, or should I opt for the Bolero unit?
Also, do I have to make some changes to the new unit, so it works with my car? Like when I go into the car information screen, will it display the correct info? Sorry for stupid questions

If you don't need Android Auto and Apple CarPlay then Swing+ is a good choice otherwise go for Bolero or Amundsen.

Swing+ must have component protection removed by Skoda dealer (or someone having ODIS online account for Skoda) and parametrization (at least coding and adaptations) adjusted to your car.

onyl the Swing+ needs that component protection removed? or is that the case for any unit that I would install into the car?

Any unit - but Bolero and Amundsen can be patched which is not possible for Swing+ (at least I don't know any solution for it).
