How to find right pin to check 01117 Load signal for alternator terminal DF?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just installed new Valeo alternator 437454
Error code 01117 Load signal for alternator terminal DF
Car VIN TMBEF61Z272139114
Skoda Octavia II 2.0 TFSI 2007

Question is the connector type B+ right one for the car?
How could we measure the right ECU pin to the alternator? Pictures of pins? Other helpful pictures of the wires etc.? Any good ideas?
Thank you.

DFM wire is pin 2 of the two-way connector at the alternator, a blue/white wire.

It goes from there to pin 1 of a four-way connector pair 'front left in engine compartment', then continues on to the engine ECU pin 65, blue/white all the way.

Front left means as experienced when sitting in the car facing forward, so actually on your right as you stand looking into the engine bay from in front of the car.  I think the four-way connector pair or the alternator connector are the most likely areas to find damage.

Thank you for quick response. I will cross my fingers and hope the damaged wire will be found.
