Hoping some (semi) good deals appear for leasing soon. Keen to place an order for one. Not at over £400 pm though with a chunky deposit.  Especially as a GTI can be had for not a kick in the arse of £300 pm.

Couldn’t get a decent vRS deal so opted for a Mk8.5 GTI. Maybe next time.

looks like I am getting mine before christmas, build week 46

  • Very happy with my 72 plate VRs specced with all I wanted(winter pack, rev cam, etc) but it would take a bit to encourage me into the facelift… seeing the standard list price means options will easily

Hyper green vRS built and enroute to Blighty.  Pics to follow in due course.

There's a video on youtube if one in a dealership, looks quite a striking colour

Just got a Skoda activation email this evening. Seems my black one is on the way too.

Fully suckered in: hyper green ordered via lease, build week 44 (this week?), potentially due for delivery mid-December 👽👽👽

What’s the lease profile on that?

2k down, £359 x 24. Hyper green estate, no optional extras. Never leased before and didn't realise that car tax is in with the price, so could have specced it up to the maximum! Happy with how it'll come though, only option on my current one is DCC

also tons of what appears to far eastern reviews on you tube..taiwanese maybe?

but it sounds like we finally get an exhaust with a tiny bit of personality!

Yeah, I had noticed the same Nick; I did notice one reviewer who was ragging it up a hill/mountain pass in the rain, and you could hear the exhaust a bit but the audio wasn't great. I've seen some short video clips shared on facebook of the exhaust note, defo like you say, tiny bit of personality! That's fine with me though. I am tempted to do an exhaust sound test when it arrives: vRS against my partners 14 year old mini cooper s

Review video just dropped, it's Thomas from Autogefühl:

Might not be UK spec, but will be pretty close to

Edit: forgot to add, "Let's go!"

Yeah just saw it, looks good

No real surprises though, it's fast it's spacious and it's decent enough inside, I know exactly what I am getting as I have had 4 already!

I hope we get those rear headrest in the UK! But at least I know they make them with vrs interior fabric now so they will be available somewhere

Looks like a smooth drive and sound actuator is maybe less tinnie sounding? Nice to see the speed of infotainment/changing of driving modes/turning assist functions on and off [in comparison to current MK4, which sometimes lags]

looks like different countries must have agreed dates for release of reviews....loads of german ones today, so at some point in the next few days I would expect uk ones to land

nobby and petrol ped and carwow will probably have already done them just waiting to release

I look forward to Matt Watson launching the parcel shelf into a bush 🙄

Yeah, you're probably right @Gingernick70

Mat Watson will also do that scritchy-scratchy thing on the door plastics, and probably get into the boot (or a production assistant)

Could have been tempted with yellow if it was available in UK.  Meanwhile my hyper green order is currently sitting in Germany waiting for a boat.

For me my boat comes into the Tyne..I see them from my house! Big heugh one in at the minute they come in from Emden, which is a crazy looking place on Google maps, just acres of cars

Nice looking yellow, shame we don't have it as an option. My hyper green is built and en route to Emden 🚆 🚢

Hello, the sound actuator is actually completely gone on the facelift vRS. Can confirm that as an owner of a FL vRS for a month now and ~2000 km driven. That's one of the first things I noticed when I put it in sports mode because the sound didn't change at all, it's what you get and it's quite nice.

It's also confirmed by one Škoda guys working on the facelift project:

well mines built and at some point will set off on a train for germany and then onto me across the north sea!

I've done some man maths and decided to order a mk 4.5 vrs on a lease. Going to trade in my current PCP and should make roughly 6k on that. A new PCP deal was coming in quite a bit more money.

nice, how are you making 6K on it though? Interested, as mine is well under normal mileage for age

Currently owe 14.5k on the PCP, offered over 21.5k on motorway. I am assuming they will knock it down to 20k but will have paid more back by the time I sell so roughly 5-6k. First time ever I've been in positive equity on a car 😂
