Hi - can anyone help please?

the bolero infotainment unit stopped working ( turning itself off, not being able to tune in to radio, no Bluetooth, no sat nav etc). I was quote £1500 and VAT for replacement.
A friend suggested buying replacement from eBay, but the replacement does the same thing?

what do I need to do to get the unit working?

I think they need coding to the vehicle.
