Audi TT Quattro Sport

Featured Replies

Now that the new TT2 has come out, I am interested in the owld un as it's to become cheap (hopefully)

I have seen a few TT Quattro sports on The Autotrader and wondered if anyone knew owt about em like?

I know they'ere a special edition with a 1.8T hoying out 240BHP and 320NM torque. They appear to be somewhat like the Renault Clio Cup in a stripped out racing stylee. Are they any good though. Thankyou please.

Pretty fancy, seats are nice and very hugging.

D|epends if you like the TT, personally I dont.

Look good - has the black roof which I think looks great, especially with a dark metallic blue. They removed the rear seats and spare wheel - kerb weight is down 50kg. It borrows some of the 3.2's exterior stuff too. Love the wheels too

Only a 1000 were made or something though, so not sure how easy it'll be to find one 2nd hand, especially at a good price.

Apparantly they tweaked the Quattro system and suspension setup - not sure how evident that is though. Not driven a Sport unfortunately, but had a go in a 180bhp Quattro and quite liked it, but the steering felt a bit numb. Thought the 1.8T sounded a bit boring too, but I'm hoping that's different in the Sport!

I will keep an eye on 2nd hand values myself, as I do like the TT.

The Sport has been out for a while and I think it will be very hard to get hold of. Apart from the power hike the handling is a bit sharper, with a different suspension set-up. The run-out model is a 1.8T quattro with the K03 turbo developing 190bhp. I think nearly all the TTs manufactured to date have been allocated to customers so they're in short supply. Hopefully (for me) the new model won't damage the residuals too much.

Agree on the steering of the quattro being a bit numb - it's the only complaint I have with the handling - it just doesn't seem as sharp as my old Octy vRS.

I managed to have a proper drive of my sisters 1.8T 225bhp Quattro Roadster recentely when I was in Bristol. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. It does feel very nice inside but it is very dark, black car with black leather interior. Anyway, back to the surprise. The accelleration is pants compared to my furby. It's a good couple of years old so maybe that could have something to do with it  Or maybe it's a case of having more to give top end? All I know is I expected a lot more from it.

Bloody good fun to drive though, had my sister pooing her pants a couple of times  Serves her right for saying that I drive it how it should be driven when I had a quick blip in it over here :D

I suspect it's more acceleration feel than actual acceleration as it should hit 60 in under 7 seconds, but being a petrol probably won't give the same shove in the back you get from the diesel Fabia?

My mate bought one when I got my Scooby and I was quite disappointed with the TT. Had all the luxuries, but was dull to drive and quite noticeably slower than the Scooby (despite being up on power). Also didn't sound as good

Yep - I definitely think Audi got something wrong with the exhaust systems of the standard 180 and 225 models. Exhaust note is very muted and seemingly constant. Just seems to drone on all the time :thumbdwn:
