Extended Crank Time

Featured Replies

Morning all,

I've just picked up a 2006 Fabia VRS with a few issues but nothing that can't be fixed I imagine.

I'm getting a cam position error no signal intermittent, I've changed the sensor still have the issue.

I have checked the voltages at the plug, pins 2 and 3 and returning values pin 1 is not, I have done a continuity test back to the ecu on 2 and 3 no issues, I don't know which pin in the ecu control pin 1 at the cps end and I'm looking for a wiring diagram or advice from other with the issue.

Car drives absolutely fine, is great fun, just going through the issues.

Any help would be awesome!

Thanks,

Al

Pin 1 doesn't go to ECU. It comes from pin 6 of the 14 way connector pair adjacent to the main battery earth to chassis stud.

There's a good selection of workshop manuals including circuit diagrams here:

Thanks I'll check out the manuals, super handy.

Will test that later, hopefully it's just a broken wire. 👌

Yep, broken wire, have bypassed it to check, will tidy it all up tomorrow starts straight away.

What wire was broken?
