Hi guys,

 

Can anyone provide steps on how to take out the lane assist camera plastic cover?

I don’t have the USB C port and I want to route a cable from the fuse box to the right side of the mirror.

I managed to take it off using these steps:

 

 

Pull 3 and 4 outwards and then slide the big cover forwards and that's it.

A little bit better view on this pic. You just need a lot of patience and NO force to unclip 2 and 3. Nr 1 then goes out easily.

That's indeed a better view, it would have definetly helped as I struggled a bit, luckily I didn't break any plastic clips.

Hi there,

 

I found a spare fuse box circuit that was activated with the ignition and I used a 12v fuse extender kit + a 12v to 5 v convertor. After that I routed the cable up the left side pillar all the way to the centre mirror .

 

Once I get into the car ( and don’t forget ) I’ll take some pictures.
