Hello my fine friends. I am currently the Owner of a 2013 Facelift Octavia 2.0 Diesel Blackline. Had her for 7 years just coming up to 170,00 , thinking of upgrading to a Superb 1.4/1.5 TSI Sportline. Any advice for a guy who is really unsure about it ??? Don`t know if Diesel or petrol is the way to go ? Only do about 10,000 per year mostly in the city. I don`t really do small cars that`s why i am looking at a Superb. Advice if any please. 

I know you said you don’t like smaller cars but if it’s just city driving mostly then a VW Polo (which isn’t small anymore) or even a Golf would be better suited.

 

If it’s mostly city driving then a petrol makes more sense, I’ve never had issues with my 190 diseasel and only do around 3k miles a year but it’s mostly used for long journeys only

I second the above, while I enjoy driving the Superb, for everyday city driving duties I use a smaller car. But then, to each its own ...

I do not think you will "feel" the change in size from Octavia to Superb, it ain't that dramatic.

For such mileage I would stay on petrol ....
