Hi all,

 

Has anyone replaced their rear wiper blade yet? I need to do mine, picked up a Bosch A331H from Euro Car Parts earlier as it was thought it'd fit, but the clip isn't long enough to clip into the hole on the arm annoyingly.

 

Searching around and it sounds like an A331H should work, but I tried removing the existing clip from the blade and fitting it to the new blade and it didn't fit. Anyone got any recommendations or am I going to have to pick one up from the dealer?

That’s odd. Changed mine about 18 months ago. The A331H fits fine on my 2020 SEL estate.

Very strange. This is a 2023 vRS estate. I'd have thought the wiper arm would be the same!

 

I've uploaded 2 photos showing the issue - the OEM blade has a shallower clip that sits flush whilst the Bosch has a shoulder that means it doesn't fit into the arm enough to clip in. I also tried a Bosch AM33H but it had the same problem. Way it's going it'll be the dealer / TPS for it!

Just had a look at mine, and a couple of photos below. When refitting the A331H blade it needed a bit of a wiggle to push fully home. After the initial pressing in the lock catch to insert it into the arm, it then hit what felt like a ‘stop’, a slight pressure towards the rear screen allowed it to slot fully in and engage the locking catch.

It does look like the arm is different between the 2. I've found a wiper which looks like it might work from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CP2PFL98/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , although I'd rather use a more reputable brand personally (Bosch tend to be my go to). I'd guess sometime between 2020 and 2023 they changed the arm.

AFAIK, there are two types of rear wipers. Skoda part numbers 5E7 955 425 and 5E7 955 425 A. Your type should be 5E7 955 425 A.

Check Bosch A 335 H

Just had the same issue, my 2024 VRS won't take the A331H - I'll try the A335H next.
