I am trying to remove the trim around the DSG gear selector on my 2016 230.

I have removed the rubber 'mat' in the sliding pocket and tried to lift up the trim from here, however it separated the gloss black plastic trim from the row of buttons (where the VRS mode button is) 

If it makes any difference I have the phone induction plate fitted.

Bit scared in case I snap anything so thought I would ask here before proceeding.
