Drivers electric window switch stopped working

Featured Replies

Hi Folks, the drivers side window switch for the drivers and front passengers windows has stopped working on my MKIII 2019 Superb.  Has anyone experienced this issue? Garage have confirmed that the switch is broken and suggest that this occurred through misuse, which most certainly isn’t the case, have never experienced any issues like this with my amazing MKII 2012 superb which is still going strong.

I’m sure I’ve seen a few people over the years have this issue, if I recall you don’t need to remove doorcard either

Garage says they need to take the door apart etc and suggest it isn’t a warranty job

They fail over time, I've replaced both mine and my wife's (2015 and 2016). You can buy the switch unit on Amazon and it works perfectly. If you follow the steps above it is a 5 minute job to remove the unit, then go inside and swap over with the below.  It is a DIY job but you do need some plastic trim tools.

No need to remove the door card, typical dealer nonsense.

Good luck!

How would it still be a warranty job? Is the car relatively new to you ?

I looked at these before, there's a few different versions depending on you lock level.

I actually stripped mine down cleaned and rebuilt it. Then glued the base on. The base had come lose and caused issues with the mirrors and the windows.
