Superb 280 Top Mounts

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have finally bitten the bullet and ordered an Eibach Pro Kit to lower the Superb. Mate says best to do top mounts at same time which seems sensible given it has 55k on it now.

Any recommendations, or is the best option OEM?

Many thanks

Michael

I have bilstein top mounts with OEM bearings. Mainly because I just ordered them with the shocks. Running the same pro springs now as well. All good. No issues. Drives a lot better whether loaded or empty.

i did side step and weren't happy about result -
together with Eibach Pro + Bilstein B6 Damptronic were replaced also
top mounts:
Front FEBI 40171FEBI 44799 which i replaced later to Arteon's OEM 5WA 412 331 A + Superb's OEM 5Q0 412 249 E
Rear Bilstein 12-281459 i had to replace to old used OEM 5Q0 513 353 E

I was going to mention since you are to swap components to use exactly what Martini suggested! 😉

I've heard good things about the SACHS strut top mounts & bearings.

Apologies, but can you confirm which fronts you ended up with that were best?

Did you notice any difference in suspension isolation or noise Martin?  Thinking of doing this too.

TIA
