2019 L&K firmware

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just taken ownership of a 2019 Superb L&K. I am keen to ensure all is up to date with the firmware to ensure the best experience however I am finding the process quite difficult. With my Ford Mondeo it was a simple process through the Ford Pass website downloading to a USB.

I cannot find anything official from Skoda to do likewise, only instructions on how to download from a unofficial library to an SD card. I have done this but am very apprehensive to insert the SD card incase the process disables anything.

Is there a way to enable OTA update? I have connected to my WiFi but it says my license is invalid (lapsed I assume). If I buy a infotainment online pass will it enable ota updates for firmware?

I have attached my unit software info. Any advise appreciated.

Thanks.

urs is a MIB2.5 unit with the 9.2" screen.

based on ur current firmware (MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4523 - MU:1382), the latest available is MHI2_ER_SKG13_P4526 (MU: 1440).

u can't do OTA firmware update.

I made a how-to guide recently on how to update the firmware on the MIB2/2.5 units.

hope this helps.

Thanks. My concern is the likelyhood that something goes wrong and I end up screwing up my system. I only just read a post bout someone's Canton sub that meeded re coded post this. I really don't want to open myself up to a world of pain if this is likely to cause issue.

Thanks for the reply. I am just quite nervous in case something breaks. But I guess its a case of have the dealer update at cost, or try it myself and have the dealer fix if anything goes wrong.
