Has anyone else acquired a new Skoda in the last few days and been able to add their car to the MySkoda App?  I keep getting an operation unsuccessful error despite trying both android and iOS and uninstalling and re-installing the app.  I've also tried logging in via the car but no joy so assuming an error at Skoda's end?

 

Picked up a 74 plate Octavia Mk4 facelift 1.5 TSI e-Tec on Saturday and this is driving me mad.

 

Both car and phone(s) have full bars mobile reception.

Android app also can't unlock doors remotely 😞

When did you add your car to the app / did you have any problems?

It worked fine, now it also displays state, fuel, doors etc.

but on ulock attempt, after pin, comes err msg

You might want to start a separate thread on that as it's not directly related.

 

But for anyone finding the original post I should update the thread that I finally solved my issue by deleting the affected account, creating a new one with my work email address.  Registering the car with the new account and closing the old account.  Then changing the work email address in the new account for my own.

 

So it was an account issue all along, I think I created the account years ago so for some reason it wasn't the same as a new account.  Should have tried this much earlier, but there you go.

I collected my Karoq sel on 18th December and it works fine
