Looking for a Superb sport line plus

Featured Replies

Hi I’m looking for a superb sport line plus auto petrol. Are they any issues to look for when viewing cars.

Make sure the sportline seats are comfortable for you. I get sore hip and buttock in these seats after 1.5 - 2 hours of driving regardless of the seating position. It’s inconvenient to the point where I am seriously considering trading it in after half a year of ownership.

2023 Sportline Combi 1.5 TSI with optional sportline seats with cushion extenders.
It’s an excellent daily car apart from the seats and, to a lesser extent, seating position. But the seat is absolutely violating my hip during longer trips.

Everyone is different. Finding the sportline seat all day comfortable 👍

Been to look at a few today.
Not a big fan of the £600 a year road tax just for it being over 40k when new.

looked at a nice 23 plate one in grey.

Murrays Skoda in Plymouth had a lovely 190bhp 2020 model in Racing Blue with lots of bells and whistles for £22k. Had 25k on I believe.

Cheers. I’ve also seen a blue 21 plate for 23k with 16k miles. 👍🏻

I got stung with that too. It depends on the options added, the base price was below £38k. Mine had DCC, Panoramic roof and optional alloys so would have taken it over £40k.

Did you try all the adjustments including lumbar and the horizontal tilt (up and down for the seat bottom, there is a front and back adjustment)?

Of course, and different seating positions as well. It can make things better or worse, but the problem never goes away completely.
Moreover, I went to a seat specialist who made some adjustments to the foam (making leg side bolsters softer and wider) and pulled aside the metal bar which supports the plastic trim where seat buttons are.
It has brought a marginal improvement, but the seats are still not suitable for me during longer trips: I start to feel some discomfort after an hour. After 3 hours I just want the trip to end 😣

It feels as if something is pushing to my hip and left buttock from below and a bit from the side. This sensation is gentle, almost unnoticeable at first, but results in numbness and sourness after a while. I am getting more and more certain that most likely the seat itself is defective: maybe something is wrong with the foam or upholstery sews. But it will be extremely difficult to convince the dealer to replace the seat or its components, especially after an independent specialist made the adjustments to it.
