Hi folks, I've been looking at a new Slavia in my local dealers, but there are very few reviews on the web about it in English, so I was wondering if anyone had any comments about them, good or bad, to help me decide.

Thanks.

No response so far.

BUT

I've met another snag with buying this new Slavia. I was hunting around all the insurance brokers, etc, trying to get a quote - but nobody has it listed, so cannot give me even an estimate. That includes Skoda's own insurance!

I'm waiting for customer services to get back to me on that!

Is this a Dealer in the UK with a Slavia. a Skoda Dealer or A.N. Other ?

Where did they get it from, is it an Import from other than CZ?

What engine, gearbox has it, when was it built and in what country?

@OOTOHERE and @Gerrycan - The Slavia is here in the UK, I've driven one for a test drive, and there was another brand new in the Skoda showroom here in Warrington.

There are two engine sizes, a 1 and a 1.5 ltr turbo-petrol, with auto box or manual.

If the url will connect - have a look - https://www.skoda-auto.com/models/range/slavia

Surely Lightcliffe Skoda know all about them then, have the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and the VIN can be used to arrange Insurance.

Maybe the Insurance Brokers here can help @DAN@ADRIAN FLUX or the others.

?

What is the 1.5TSI, it is a ACT, or just a 1.5TSI without ACT, and is it a DSG Auto?

As I don't have the car, I cannot quote the VIN number or reggie number - (It hasn'tbeen registered yet, anyway!)

You've lost me with ACT, what's that? I did put manual gears.

I last bought a car 15 years ago, and the only electronics in it were central/remote door locks, a radio, and lights!

I'll have a look at Dan@ Adrian Flux in a little while, when I've woken up properly!

ACT = Active Cylinder Technology - where two cylinders are deactivated under light load conditions, with the engine running on two cylinders only.

@ericm0hff  The car might not be First Registered in the UK and have VED, but the Skoda Dealership knows all about the story of it being Imported and can give the VIN and be a bit helpful as far as the CofC & getting it Insured and the actual spec of the car.

By me putting @DAN@ADRIAN FLUX i hoped he might be along with some assistance.
