Overheat on 2.0 diesel.

Featured Replies

Getting a rare intermittent issue with the car where occasionally it will just overheat, and I have to stop for a few minutes until it seems to regain control and pulls the temp back down. Googling seems to indicate some swollen seal on a valve in the water pump (they like to complicate things that should just work).

Is this likely, and can I ask what it's likely to cost to replace just so I don't get taken to the cleaners?

Cheers.
