Access to in-tank fuel pump.

Featured Replies

Hi.

Just getting to know my recently-acquired 2013 Yeti 1.9tdi (2-wheel drive).

I'm trying to establish whether or not there is an inspection port for the in-tank fuel pump under the carpet beneath the rear seat.  The carpet is very firmly fixed and there is not the usual cutout one finds on other cars.  After searching on the internet, I'm getting conflicting reports suggests that on some Yeti models there is no access and the fuel tank would have to be dropped.  Before I start hacking away at the floor covering can anyone help?

I'm attaching a pic of my car.

Thanks.

Follow the wiring, as you've said mk 5platform cars usually have an access under the rear seat, my Touran required the whole carpet to be peeled back.
