2010 Octavia L&K Estate 166k mileage. Low Beam Light now pink not white

Featured Replies

Noticed that the reflection of my dipped beam headlights on the white van in front had one white and one pink! Any ideas what has caused this?

Hello, do you know if your headlights are halogen or Xenon?

I think they're Xenon but could be wrong, I was told they're the more expensive ones.

If they are Xenon (HID) lamps, a pinkish tint is usually an indication the lamp is approaching end of life.

Do the other (good) lamps appear to have a blueish tinge?

Yes, very faint.

Probably are HID/Xenon.

@sarbouy - This is pretty much what I was thinking too, particularly on an L&K.
