Don't think it will be a big seller but 600 litre boot and efficient at highish speeds and if you can get for not much over 30k it sound good value. Personally just not an estate fan visually ie would not like on the drive, maybe a company van version would sell ?

Personally I much prefer an estate (or even my Octavia 3 hatch) over an SUV, as I (may!) have posted on here before.  Bigger boot, better ride, longer rear doors, no need for a stepladder when you wash it…

yep, I like the look of this Pug.

Starting price £51k. Maybe VW will do some great lease deals as they are with the Buzz.

Either way with such a high RRP one is going to get wacked in an extra £2k Expensive/Luxury vehicle tax after the first year.

I expect all cars with an RRP in the £40k to £44k to drop below £40k by the 1st of April.  Cars above that have a real problem.

Just re-taxed my Zoe to move the taxing month from  September to January so no road tax for me for the Zoe until 2026, if I have not chopped it for a R5 or R4 by then.

I reckon many a director, self employed person or employee could not give a monkeys back end about the VED after the first year.

Look just at the Monthlies and do they want or need one and off they go and get it leased.

The Accountant will be the one that might say yae or nae to that vehicle.

As to private individuals there are plenty who get what they want and when they want it.

Cars / Estate cars are actually just a tool of the trade for those that need them and they are not driving something uncomfortable if they have a choice.

My reason for having one was for the labrador to see out if the wanted to. In the Octavia the hatchback and estate only had a few litres different in cargo litres. Fabia the estate was quite a bit longer as you will remember. Never did get the 25kgs ballast weight off my fabians vrs saloon's rear bumper.

No they never did because they were 9 3/4 inch longer than the hatch and with different rear springs and Skoda had false Kerb Weight published for them.

I put one on a weigh bridge.

Maybe Police / Military Dog Handlers will get ID7 Estates instead of an ID4.

A Light Commercial Van version would make sense for VW Group in the UK to make available.

That will help them reach the Sales percentage of BEV,s required.

There were some corking deals on ID.7 back end of last year. I could get one to suit my profile for about £450pcm (an ID.4 was about £500) and wouldn't care about the VED as its part of the lease.

@Ootohere Thanks for the videos. The feedback for the ID.7 Tourer seems very positive everywhere I see it.

I'm rather disappointed by the look of it. It looks like any other Audi estate, whereas the prototype looked amazing. The front and rear are much less swoopy. I've never been a fan of the current Audi grille, so it looks old fashioned and fugly to me.

Not that it matters at that price, I won't be able to afford one! 🤣
