topran is something worse than crap

Better than nothing.

If you remember you were bragging that a car does not need (!) a thermostat and you have removed yours, no problem etc.

After few months you blown-up you gasket and you forced to install a thermostat.

On the contrary, the removal of the thermostat postponed the inevitable.

The vehicle was overheating due to HG leaking, The father asked me to provide a solution thus I removed the thermostat, as HG leaking progressed so did the symptoms and it reached a point where it couldnt be mitigated by anything.

At that point, the vehicle was owned by me, and the refresh of everything commenced.

This means HG change + radiator + 2speed fan + thermostat and so on.

So if the vehicle was in okay shape I would have kept the thermostat from the very start, but if I had done so with leaking HG the failure would have come 2 years earlier.
