Throttle Adaption now available in Carista

Featured Replies

In all other VAG cars I have owned Carista had the option to switch throttle response behaviour between 'gradual' & 'direct' but this wasn't available for my March 2023 1.5 TSi Karoq until now! (I'm on Beta)

Given well publicised difficulties with driveability / ease of stalling I was keen to try this option and will report back on my experience with a switch from gradual to direct 👍

Initial thoughts are this is a positive👍

A few hundred miles now covered with 'direct' and the car is noticeably easier to drive and less prone to stalling 👍

Brilliant! That is what I would expect a dealer worth his salt to do!

Carista is an ODB dongle, nothing to do with a dealer.

What does a dealer use to interface with OBD??

I thought those parameters would need to be changed by a dealer ! Not me as home DIYer????

Can the Carista package release the rear brakes to change threm?

Yes.

Many thanks.

Thats one more job I can tackle.

Pink Panther, is your 1.5 Karoq a manual car or DSG - or has anyone tried throttle response adjustment on a DSG car?

I'd like to tame the overly sensitive throttle particularly for setting off from standstill, even true on my 1.0 Karoq DSG. Maybe I'm overly cautious, but concerned that such adjustments might upset how the engine & DSB gearbox interact.
