Electrical problems

Featured Replies

Evening all

I took the car out earlier for a short trip with the kids to see some fireworks. Car ran fine, however when I went to lock the car up the interior light did not come on when opening the door. Then I locked the car and the puddle lights stayed on and the led strip around the dash and doors stayed on. They are still on now over an hour later. The car has never experienced any electrical issues in my 3 years of ownership so I am a little puzzled. I have hardly used the car in the past 6 weeks due to illness.
Any help or advise will

be much appreciated.

Possibly the battery is on the way out. Seems to cause funny issues.

@Itsrelfy New battery was installed a few months back. I went and checked the car earlier. One of the back doors was left open (by my kids) but the car did not show the back door open last night but did today. Very strange as it has not done it before. Will check in the dark today all is functioning as it should be.

Stuff stays off = fuse

Stuff stays on = relay

I'd investigate the battery and the doors close state first though. Does start-stop work once warmed up? If not, what does the car page say as the reason?
