Clutch pedal noise

Featured Replies

Hi. Can anyone help. Every now and again when I press the clutch down it makes a clunking noise for a few presses then it's ok again. The clutch pedal comes back up and I have no issue selecting gears.

Excuse my wife in the background lol.

I just got the same myself today. I'm presuming the return spring is making the noise but I don't know if it is something that needs urgent attention. I also wonder if the cold weather may be something to do with it for me

Mine hasn't done it since. But it's done it 3 or 4 times before. I mainly notice it after a long drive. Last 2 times were when we'd gone on holiday. The time I recorded it was the morning after we'd arrived and the time before we'd driven to Devin and again it was the day after we'd arrived.

Control loading cam & spring.

Proof is that it does it in at the bottom of the downstroke and at the top of the upstroke which is the control loading action, the peak of the cam is at the mid-point.
