2018 Rapid Spaceback fuse ratings

Featured Replies

Hi,

Bit of an ongoing saga here with my infotainment system. It's a long story to ask a very quick question.

I'll give you some background for context, the infotainment stopped working completely. I took it back to Skoda who initially just checked fuses (remember this bit), and wanted to charge £thousands to diagnose and attempt a fix.

I sent off the headunit and screen to be fixed by a specialist. He confirmed the screen was fine, but the headunit needed repairing. He sorted it and I have video of them both working in his workshop.

Now I have them back, I've refitted them, but the screen is blank. I know the unit is working as I can access the satnav, radio etc from the small menu behind the steering wheel.

I've gone to check the Fuses for the infotainment screen and the fuse socket for the infortainment screen is empty! (socket 12 as noted in the manual)

However, there is a 7.5a fuse in socket 11 which is for headlamp cleaning system, which I don't have. I dont know if thats unrelated, or if the guy who checked the fuse at Skoda put it back in the wrong place.

So the question is, how do I find out what the fuse rating should be for the infotainment screen? I'll grab one from the local shop and drop one into socket 12.

Desperate to get this done at this point. Thanks.

Hello Luke, welcome to the forum.

I have flagged this to @pab567 for advice, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 7.5A fuse in position 11 is the correct one.

Me too... just move it from 11 to 12
