Do the new road tax rates hammer old school vehicles like that or is that a tax exempt historic?

 

I love how much glass older vehicles had and how slender the door and screen pillars were, compare it to the cars in the background.

A friend was at the NEC car show in 2002 and took these. 

 

A virtual cream bun for anyone who recalls which film the XK featured in. 

 

I understand Aston Martin also created a chrome plated car but were warned not to use it on the road as reflections might blind other road users!

The XJ is the same generation as mine (X350) although sadly mine is a little less shiny nowadays 😁

Many years ago my mate had one... Along with a hearse to transport his drum kit in.

These days I still like the GTE and the guy across the road from us has a Mk1 on his driveway he started restoring many years ago but I think he's given up these days

An ex-Lagonda engineer who worked for me when we were at Lotus restored a white Mk1 which he would occasionally drive to work.

Dropped a mate off to collect a car and spotted this on permanent display in the showroom⚡

What's the yellow one? Looks like a Commer van like BT used to use but when I zoom in the lettering is garbled.

I think it's Camioneta which basically means 'van'... So guessing it's some form of commer camper conversion

Sorry - I'd magic erased the number plate which then obscured the Commer on the front.
