Desperate Help

Featured Replies

I have just bought ( June) a new Škoda Kodiaq from a main dealer in spain. So far it has broken down 4 times and has now been with the main dealer in Malaga for over  10 weeks. I have sent dozens of emails to everyone I can think off and made more calls than I can remember. I can’t seem to get anyone to respond or call me to explain what’s happening. The service has and continues to be appalling  and quite unbelievable. The best I get is a two line message saying they are working on the problem. Can anyone please help

Welcome.

What engine / gearbox has your Kodiaq

& maybe explain here what has happened as far as breakdowns?

Why do you expect assistance with Spanish consumer affairs laws from a mostly UK website?

It’s. 1.5 TSI m-HEV  all the problems have been associated with battery failure or failure of the mgt system which in-turned resulted in the car shutting down. Škoda say it a software problem and there working on it. I can’t believe that if this is the case then there must be dozens of vehicle  effected .thank you

With regard to the other response yes I understand this is a Spain problem but given Škoda is an international business I was just asking if anyone new how to contact them or get a meaningful response.

@MHUnderwood shows a UK location, and this is a Global website.

The question with more info might be best in the Kodiaq or Kodiaq Mk2 section.

There are Kodiaq Mk2,s off the road now because of Software Issues and members talking on rejecting those, and Superbs because of not fit for purpose software.

Some of the issues they say make the vehicle unsafe to use.

Hi I will try this , that’s interesting because the problem we have is that sometimes we loose all the driver assist function . I also for got to say ours is automatic and a 7 seater. What I can’t get my head around is the total lack of customer service. I am disabled and we need a car for our family last time they gave me a small 4 seater salon. It’s  quite unbelievable that a company would treat its customers in this way

@MHUnderwood  That is the issue others are having with new cars.  Software Updates / patches required.

Is there actual Customer Services for Skoda Spain or VW Group Spain who are the Importer?

You best get your case escalated with Skoda Spain and have them supply a suitable replacement vehicle and explain what they are doing.

Maybe even getting a replacement fit for purpose vehicle.

Or get legal advice.

Hi Ooto and thanks for the advice I have sent Skoda customer services in spain many emails and all they say is that they are waiting for the manufacture to provide a solution, I have started the process with a legal firm.
