Door sill lights octavia mk4

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I purchased a sill door with LED lighting for my Octavia MK4, and I’m looking for advice on which wire to connect it to so that it lights up only when the door is open.

Hi,
Sills are not design to work as you think, they are powered by 3V battery and 30sec timer as i remember from searching for them to add them to my car...but then i given up.

Product Description

SKODA Illuminated door sill covers are a decorative accessory for your vehicle.

They protect the paintwork around the front door sill from dirt.

They are NOT designed to be stood on when getting into (or out of) the vehicle.
Side door sill covers with backlight perfectly match the contours of the vehicle sill, - are positioned using templates order no. 5E3 071 718, are held in position using retaining clips and a magnetic strip, which are located on the underside of the door sill covers. light up for around 30 seconds when the doors are opened, then go out,  light up again if the door is closed and opened again, or if the sensor on the side door sill cover (located behind the OCTAVIA logo) is covered, we recommend having the batteries replaced by an authorised ŠKODA AUTO service partner.
