Crazy electrics, warning lights and stereo

Featured Replies

I have a fabia 3 2015 and my electrics drive me crazy. Random warning lights for lights, that are working which come on and go spontaneously. Tyre pressure was another one where tyres were fine. My daylight headlight works some days. Not others lol. My biggest gripe though is the stereo. It'll randomly change radio channels. If I Bluetooth Spotify on my phone it'll skip or back skip songs. It drives me insane. I dont want to spend a fortune but can anyone recommend a replacement stereo preferably with android auto? Is there a common issue with random warning lights?

Regarding stereo: this might be a typical "self-touch" problem, caused by faulty touch panel (digitizer). Pls share VIN of your Fabia so I can recommend replacement.

How old is the battery?

The battery is the first thing to check when getting seemingly random fault warnings on these vehicles. You should get the battery tested.

Does stop/start work?

I'd also add whilst checking the state of battery charge to check the battery positive and negative terminal clamp connections are clean and tight (don't move with reasonable hand pressure, not murder-tight).

I think its a complete wiring issue because sometimes my rear wiper works and it's not at the moment. My drivers side daylight lamp sometimes comes on. Sometimes doesn't lol. And I get fault alerts for tail light, tyre pressure when they're both completely fine. Opinions would be appreciated

Yes could be wiring, connections, switches or modules.  If you have checked the battery and its connections then best to plug in a VW appropriate scan tool that is has a program for your model and year and that this program is fully up to date for your model and age, also its battery and that of the car do not want to be in lower states of charge to get accurate reports.  The scan tool is just one diagnostics tool, there are others including your senses, though it sometimes can it doesn't always point you to what's at fault but in the directions to check.
