Infotainment stuck at loading user profile

Featured Replies

I have both my Karoq and my wifes Kamiq registered in the MySkoda app on my phone. I'm the primary user on both cars. Recently my wife said the cars infotainment system wouldn't start and simply stuck at "Loading User Profile". I got in the car and within about 30 seconds the infotainment system activated, no problem. Next day she reported the same issue, checked it again and it worked fine for me. I wondered if it had something to do with needing my phone to be present in the car so turned my phone off and tried again. Lo and behold the infotainment hung at loading user profile. Turning my phone back on and restarting the car and all was good again. I find it hard to believe the car requires my phone to be present to load the last used profile. Effectively this means the Infotainment system including Sat Nav, Radio etc is not functional if I ever forget to pick my phone up on the way out. Has anyone else had this issue or is it just yet another quirk with the Skoda Connect system?

Not sure if this helps but the other day I set off without my phone. The car reacted normally until I realised the car play was trying to connect to my phone (on the display) but all other functions - media player etc were normal.

Newbie here but I've been out without my phone and all seems to work fine.

Don't know if you resolved, this, but our 2 year old Scala needed to be taken to the dealer and get checked. It needed a software update, not sure why it didn't update itself.

Now, however, it won't start a number of things including setting primary user or shop!

Seems cars have finally become MS Windows!
