***NOW SOURCED MY OWN SPARE WHEEL SO FREE TO ANYONE WHO CAN PICK UP FROM GU16 THIS WEEKEND OR THEY ARE GOING TO DUMPS****

I CANT BELIEVE THAT EBAY IS FULL OF AFTERMARKET ALLOYS IN WAY WORSE CONDITION WITHOUT NEAR PERFECT PERFORMANCE SUMMER TYRES FOR £600++ AND I STILL HAVE THESE...WOULD IT BE EASIER IF I PUT A PRICE ON INSTEAD OF...ERRR....FREE!!!!!???

Mrs Muckipup is demanding that I clear out my garage. As a result I am pretty much giving away the above (loved but no longer needed) wheels and tyres in exchange for a single OEM Zenith alloy that I can use as a full-sized spare. Spigot rings for standard VAG included and you can have the 2mm and 5mm spacers that I used just for looks if you want. These wheels will easily clear the bigger S3 calipers and my own Brembo calipers if you have those.

 

Please note that a Neptune alloy is of no use to me as it will not clear my brakes  - will consider another 18" wheel/tyre in good condition if spoke design is proven to clear bigger calipers..

 

All I ask in exchange is a wheel in tyre in excellent condition with full or near full tread...no bashed-up wheel salvaged from a scrapyard, thanks. I think that is reasonable to ask given that I am giving away about £1500 worth of wheels and tyres when new and is therefore non-negotiable. I will want to see a picture showing condition of the wheel and tyre please.

 

The other non-negotiable is that the new owner collects from the GU16 area - how you do that is up to you but I will not be driving them anywhere myself and will not be organising a courier myself etc. You are free to use your own courier if you take care of all logistics and costs.

There are a few minor scuffs as would be expected and the pictures below show the worst of it it on a single wheel...and yes, they could do with a wash!

 

The 4th wheel is not in the picture as it is in my car as the spare but it is in great condition.

 

The key thing here is that the replacement must be in great condition and, as you may have worked out, I don't want any trouble or "...I know you said....but can you drive them up to my mate in Aberdeen" or any nonsense like that ;0)

 

It will be the first person to collect rather than the first person to say that they want them (but then never appear) that will get them.

To be honest, as a spare wheel, I really don't mind if someone found a wheel in good/reasonable condition as long as it has a tyre in good condition too or a bit of a battered one and get an £80 professional refurb or whatever. I thought that is how anyone would approach this crazy near give-away on my part!

 

I spent ages trying to work up the courage to stretch to the cost of 4 reputable after-market alloys plus the cost of quality tyres (which these wheels still have with plenty of tread)...yet here we are! Go figure 🤷‍♂️

 

I think that I will give them a wash to see if that helps as they will clean up well - it was a bit lazy of me not too in the first place

Glad it was finally sorted! Same as you I couldn’t believe there was no interest but it’s great that they have actually been collected and glad they didn’t go to the dump!
