2014 Rapid elegance swing radio upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi

which is the easiest/connection to upgrade this radio for using DAB / google maps & waze

I have full steering wheel controls also

stock or aftermarket is fine

also currently the initial sound during a bluetooth call seems to crackle is this the headunit or speakers?

thanks in advance

There's a few threads in the How To section - one by me HERE for example where I switched my Swing for a Columbus. Another one HERE too.

Generally the easiest route is to go with another Skoda HU like a Columbus / Amundsen as you would retain your Maxidot and steering wheel controls without any more wiring looms. However these options don't have Apple CarPlay / Android Auto so if those are important i.e. for Google Maps / Waze then you have to go aftermarket. There's some threads on here where members have done this so they can share their experiences.
