My Kamiq is a 69 plate 1.0 SEL with MIB3 infotainment.

  After having a faulty SOS control unit replaced I no longer have my user name displayed on the Welcome Screen. My name is also missing on the Manage Users screen where the only option showing is Guest.

I have tried to log in as a new user using my usual email address and Skoda ID but get the message Unavailable. My profile and car are still active on the MySkoda app.

Should I start from scratch with the wizard as if I had newly acquired the car and get a new sPIN number , etc?  I would have to use the same email address as I have no other.

Any help would be gladly received.

OK, late to this party. Have you changed your privacy settings? If you have gone for max privacy "man in a hat" then you need to change to one of the less private settings. This might work.

Thanks for your reply. My privacy setting is on the least private (share my position).

Have you done anything else like changed the s-PIN?

 

Does the app still  connect to the car?  If so you could try becoming the primary user again.

 

For both of the above I think you'll need both keys.

 

If not, then I see a trip to the dealer in your future. It is possible to do a reset with assistance from an agent on the phone, or at least this was the case 2 years ago.

I have not changed anything. I can log into the Skoda app on my phone but unable to log in on the car's infotainment screen either as an existing user or to register as a new user.

I don't really want to do a full factory reset and have the hassle of losing my settings in satnav, phone, radio etc.

I don't intend paying every year to activate the remote features in the app, most of which I would never use. I will probably just drive the car as a guest.

I don't think this is a big problem. How far from your dealer are you? 

Log it as a fault and ask them to fix it on the next service.

My dealer made me the primary user, it took him 30 seconds with both keys and the app while sat in the car.

Which infotainment do you have? There are instructions on page 113 of the manual for Swing, Bolero and Amundsen.

 

Basically you should be able to register a new user via the infotainment.

 

It's either MENU then settings (the gear icon)

Or

MENU  /user / new user/ switch users / register.

 

Need to do it promptly after turning on the ignition. Need your phone with the Skoda app.  Also need your e-mail open on the phone.
