Skoda Suspension

Featured Replies

Hi all, Having a nightmare with front and rear shocks and Top mounts,  just had the second brand new set front and back shocks and top mounts but still it all just feels loose and top mount rattle and now drive side drop link has completely Snapped, The mechanic keeps blaming cheap aftermarket OEM parts but can they be keeping installing them wrong, the parts supplier EKs says nobody else complaining about the same parts.. When all suspension parts are new should the Car feel solid like it just left the Factory??  Guess I should have just got Skoda dealer to fit genuine Parts done right 🤷‍♂️   What yall Saying? 👍

The recent front shocks and mounts installed where Bilstein parts, still feel loose and rattle then the drop link Snapped.

Parts where correct Bilstein supplier checked with my Vin number

Have you check the top mount bushings and that the top mounts are torqued up correctly?  Please also check the ball joints.

Any excessive lateral movement in the suspension will cause the drop-links to fail and if they've snapped, that must have been a LOT of movement.

Biggest concern is now the top mounts are now worn.
