Elroq: Who else has ordered?

The Skoda Elroq has a ground clearance of 186 millimeters (7.32 inches) so should be fine hopefully.  Ask your local dealer to put your name down for a test drive  on the  Elroq demo when it lands..and you can check it all out then although i like to think people who ordered it would be given priority for the test drives.

thanks for hat, will check the IX3

I did try a Ford explorer out of interest, but the seats I found were not that comfortable

interestingly the IX3 according to google is 179mm which is lower than the Elroq, which looking at the pictures really surprises me

Guys  i created a subreddit on reddit for the Elroq  located at  r/SkodaElroq

I do not have much experience on reddit but thought i would give it a go. I would appreciate you checking it out.

Very quiet at moment as just started it up.

If anyone wants an idea on size, it's probably worth driving an Enyaq. They're built on the same platform, same wheelbase and if you check the sizes, they're pretty well identical in all measurements with the exception of length, where the Enyaq is about 5" longer, which all seems to be in the boot. I had an email from our dealer today to say "the" Elroq will be with them 14th March to 19th March. I suspect that it wasn't our Elroq, rather a demeonstrator for the dealer, but seems strange if they only have it for 5 days. You would have assumed that the Dealers would get a Demonstrator each, rather than having to share 🙃

Yes it is a little strange..hopefully just temporary as the Elroq  factory is pumping out up to 600  every day now.

If anyone else in UK  is waiting on a Moon White Edition 85 Elroq i received this response from Skoda a few days ago

"There is an 11 week lead time for all New Elroq 85 Edition vehicles that are to be offered currently, with 937 units of the moon white colour which will be distributed in different Retailers accross the UK"

That’s certainly less than 17 weeks guide you where given in December. Hopefully not too go now.

Indeed but i asked for clarification but no reply  if the 11 weeks is from this week or my original order date.

Seems a bit inconsistant if Tap ordered on 9th December and doesn't yet have a build date, whereas Keefey ordered at the end of December and he's been told his car is built and awaiting transport. I'm assuming they build the cars in batches of colour? If so I guess delivery will depend on when your chosen colour batch is put through production.  If that's the case, I'm guessing again that choosing Velvet Red Metallic probably wasn't the best choice for quick delivery, as at £1075, it's likely to be a fairly short batch at the end of the 20000 orders. At least up until 16th January, there were only 2 models available to order, and most UK orders were likely the 85 Edition.

Skoda / VW videos in the past have shown all different colours going through the paint tunnels and changing the spray guns from car to car.

im thinking about it

I ordered an Elroq Maxx Edition in moon white like TAP in October.  No build date from the retailer yet.  I hope it comes before April 1st but given the 11 week lead time quoted by TAP, I guess this is looking unlikely.

What interior did everyone chose?   I went for the basic loft because I think it looks the nicest.   I like the green stitching.

I went for the same ..standard loft. I thought it might help speed up my order but just looked like it was more than good enough for me.

I went for Suite, mainly because we have our 2 Labs in the car and leather is easier to keep clean. We've had 2 x Yetis and a Karoq with leather and they were great. We also had an Octy Scout which was a brilliant car. It had Alcanterra which was really hard wearing. We have a Volvo XC40 at the moment with Micro Suede which looks like Alcanterra, but certainly isn't as sericeable. I think the Sportline is Micro Suede so I guess Alcanterra isn't on the market any more.

Oops, apparently it's Alcantara.  Invented in Japan and manufactured in Italy. Thank goodness for Wikipedia

Must say the leather seats I currently have in my Karoq are so extremely comfortable.  However the cream leather does mark easily with dark blues trousers or jeans.

I can vouch for that. We had cream leather in the Karoq and stopped wearing jeans when we went out in the car. It did clean up fairly well though. Leather in the Elroq is black so hopefully jeans will still be allowed.

Does anyone know, and I am assuming the elroq is the same as the enyaq, if you can blow cold air from the vents while hot air on the feet, seem to get hot flushes these days!!

Interesting. What model variant and colour did you go for? Did the dealer advise you of the build date? Not heard anything but hoping i have build date  soon..i think they started production a couple of days ago.. Output is 600  a day but they have 20000 pre-orders apparently.

I went for brilliant silver as like that on the yeti we have.  I had to keep bothering the dealer to get a build date.  I’ll take it with a pinch of salt though!

Just had my build week confirmed for next week!

Fantastic!!!  How exciting.

Can I ask a question that has been vexing me for a while with this thread...   are those of you that have ordered already ordering without actually seeing on in the flesh or driving one?

If so I find that amazing and slightly mad...   but each to their own!

I did exactly the same with the Karoq and wasn't disappointed.   Listened to loads of reviews on YouTube of people who had driven the Elroq and the response/opinions are overwhelmingly positive.   I agree there's a bit of a risk but you know you're getting quality and practicality with Skoda. No fuss or nonsense just well built , comfortable cars.
