2.0 tdi thermostat replacement

I did it once today but maybe that son of a... plastic pipe with o ring drips some coolant.

Engine is CBBB. Ive watched few videos on youtube. Most of videos there is xzn bolt near oil filter which keeps plastic pipe in block. 

I have it too but its behind of oil filter complex. No way that you can open it with complex on. Is that true?

Another models you just use extension and open it up.
