Electric Boot Strut - Clips

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm changing my boot struts today but come stuck on the clips that hold the struts to the boot. Looking at all the videos online, it looks super simple, stick a screwdriver in, loosen the clips and pull them off. In practice that didn't happen, they seemed to come loose but only partially on one side and ended up in a right mess. It's now stuck on one side, the lower portion you can barely see as it's been cut down but it's still hooked on so I'm at a stalemate.

Anyone have any bright ideas? All help appreciated

Mine pulled up about 1/4 inch and then released from the ball.  I think my old struts are still in the garage so may have some spare clips I could post if needed.  PM me if needed

The clips come with the new struts, you cannot buy the clips on their own

I don't need new clips, my new struts have new clips with them.....the existing clips are stuck, that's the issue I'm trying to solve
